About Me
I’m Ben — a counsellor, clinical supervisor, and stroke survivor.
I help people rebuild after rupture — not by fixing them, but by walking alongside them as they find their own way home.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years learning how to rebuild my own life after a devastating stroke. That experience didn’t just change me — it shaped how I see people, pain, and healing. I know what it means to lose everything familiar, and what it takes to slowly, patiently begin again.
That’s why the work I do now isn’t clinical or distant. It’s real. It’s relational. It’s rooted in empathy, honesty, and the belief that repair is possible.
My Professional Background
I’m a BACP-registered integrative counsellor and qualified clinical supervisor, working with adults (18+) both online and in person. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that growth happens when we feel truly seen.
Before retraining as a therapist, I held senior leadership roles in the finance sector — I know what it’s like to live a high-functioning outer life while struggling inwardly. I bring that insight into the therapy room, especially with clients navigating burnout, identity shifts, or deep emotional disconnection.
Alongside my counselling and supervision practice, I also offer coaching and mentoring for therapists, changemakers, and people doing difficult work in uncertain times.
How I Work
I don’t try to fix or analyse you. Instead, I bring presence, care, and a willingness to meet you where you are — especially in the places that feel hard to reach.
You don’t need to come with the right words. We can begin from silence, confusion, or overwhelm. My role is to stay with you and hold a space where what matters can begin to emerge
